Electron Microprobe Analyzer (EPMA)
ASU's Knowledge Enterprise hosts the JEOL JXA-8530F Hyperprobe, a field emission electron microprobe. It has a nominal imaging resolution of 3 nm with six spectrometers for non-destructive X-ray microanalysis and imaging of solid samples up to 10 cm in size. Click here for further information regarding the EPMA.
Secondary Ion Mass Spectrometer (SIMS)
The Cameca SIMS 6f and NanoSIMS 50L are used to perform a wide range of trace element analyses and isotope ratio measurements at the micron- and nano-scale spatial resolution. Click here for further information regarding the SIMS.
Elemental Analyzer Isotope Ratio Mass Spectrometer (EA-IRMS)
EA-IRMS is used to analyze the carbon, nitrogen, hydrogen and oxygen contents and isotopic ratios across a wide range of samples. Click here for further information regarding the EA-IRMS.
Additional Analytical Facilities at ASU
The Knowledge Enterprise at ASU hosts Raman and Fourier-transform infrared (FTIR) spectrometers, several SEMs and TEMs, and X-Ray Diffractometers. Click here for further information regarding these machines. Further, the Isotope Cosmochemistry and Geochronology Laboratory (PI: Prof. Mini Wadhwa) hosts MC-ICP-MS and laser ablation for high precision isotope ratio and elemental analysis.
